Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Grill50 (grill50.com) is an independent grilling and outdoor-cooking publication. This page explains what information the site handles and why.

Who we are

Grill50 is run by an independent publisher. It has no connection to any restaurant or food-service business. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to correct our articles.
  • Server logs. Like every website, the server that hosts Grill50 records each request it receives: the visitor’s IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser type, and the page the visitor came from.

How server logs are kept

The hosting server archives its access logs. Rotated log files are compressed and copied to the site operator’s private Google Drive storage, then removed from the server. We keep logs only for as long as needed to keep the site running and secure, and to investigate problems.

Cloudflare

Grill50 is delivered through Cloudflare, a content-delivery and security network. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare receives visitors’ IP addresses and request details. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Cookies

Visitors who are not logged in do not receive cookies from Grill50. The login page sets a technical test cookie that WordPress uses to check whether a browser accepts cookies. Logged-in site administrators receive WordPress login cookies. None of these cookies are used for advertising or tracking.

Analytics, advertising and comments

  • We do not use analytics or tracking scripts.
  • We do not show advertising and do not use affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this policy before the change goes live, and we will name any advertising partner and the cookies it sets.
  • Comments are switched off, so we do not collect comment data. If comments are turned on, we will update this policy first.
  • The site does not embed videos, maps or social-media posts from third parties.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers that run the site (the hosting server, Cloudflare, and the Google Drive storage used for logs), and when the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to delete it by emailing [email protected]. We hold only what you send us and what appears in server logs. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will respond to requests from anywhere.

Children

Grill50 is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the way the site handles information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
